Foster Care Opportunities
Each year hundreds of animal's lives are save because of our foster care program. In 2005 nearly 700 animals were fostered in the homes of nearly 50 foster care volunteers.
Our foster parents care for and nuture newborn puppies and kittens, animals that are sick or injured, or need a little TLC and confidence boosting before they are ready to be adopted. To learn more about how to become a foster parent email foster@toledoareahumanesociety.org or call (419) 891-0705 (ext 305) and speak to Jodi Harding, our foster care coordinator.
This momma and her kittens stayed in a foster home until the kittens were 8 weeks old. She was so thankful to have a warm loving home while taking care of her little ones.
This puppy was rescued from a burning house and brought to TAHS. Young and in need of medical care, this puppy went to a foster home and was cared for and loved until he was all better and ready to be adopted. This puppy and that momma and kittens would not have had a chance if it wasn't for our foster families.
